Welcome to a course that will help people without a dance background turn into knowledgeable, well-rounded, and confident dance physical therapists. In this first module, you will learn what to expect in this course and the value of personal development.
BALLET AS A
FOUNDATION
Ballet is a form of dance that is a major foundation for many other dance styles. In this module, you will learn ballet steps, technqiue, and how to identify corrections that cross over from dance style to dance style.
SCREENINGS & WORKSHOPS FOR DANCERS
Learn a basic screen for dancers and how to create screenings for dancers of ALL different styles. Additionally, learn how to market and lead dancer workshops.
TREATING ALL DANCERS
In this module, you will learn how to apply the whole body approach and address common injuries for dancers. These injuries are broken down as though I am speaking to the patient for you to start hearing it said at a level your patients will understand.
DANCE
SHOES
This is the orthotics portion of the course! Get to know the intricacies of the different dance shoes along with how to screen eligibility, and rehab back to them. This is where you learn to no longer fear this beautiful shoe and start calling it a friend.
SPECIAL
SKILLS
Develop a concrete understanding of special dance PT topics that addresses adolescents, vestibular, pelvic health, nutrition, and more. Also, learn how to provide treatments that occur outside of the clinic.
TAPING FOR
DANCERS
This is the module where you learn specific taping techniques for specific symptoms or injuries. It is meant to be a module you can refer to for the long-term to better help patients.
PSYCHOSOCIAL SKILLS
Improve upon your soft skills with patients to gain better trust with dancers. Dive into important skills to better respect, address, and communicate with all people in the rehabilitation process. a

NICHE &
COACHING
It is important to understand who you are talking to - their wants, needs, etc. This is called a niched. You are going to get specific on the dancers you want to treat. You will also map out your coaching delivery to test and get results.
SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING
Here is what you initially need to set-up in order to start attracting the avatar you have defined as your niche on social media. To remain organized, you will learn tips and tricks to building a social list of potential patients through organic marketing.
IN-PERSON MARKETING
Here is the beginning of what you need to understand and then you are taken through a highly organized process in your 1:1 calls to develop a system that helps you make new relationships with dance studios & companies.
SALES &
OFFERS
In this module, you will learn how to apply what you know about sales with coaching/consulting/physical therapy. Additionally, you will learn how to create the perfect product offer for your niche that will get them eager to work with you.
PLATFORMS
SET-UP
This is where you start setting up the following platforms: calendly/acuity, google suite, google voice, zoom, active campaign and doxy. These are some of the major platforms you need in place for scheduling, HIPAA compliant platforms you need to have ready-to-go.
NEGOTIATIONS
This module teaches you a detailed method to come into job negotiations confident, prepared, and ready to collaborate. It is important for dance PTs to be happy at work to stay motivated in their pursuit to build that dance PT career. This means, creating a workspace that prevents burnout is key ... and it all starts with negotiations.
STARTING YOUR PRACTICE
Get checklists, paperwork, and all the tools needed to start up a PT Private Practice that is either cash or insurance-based. Learn a simple system to make sure everything is set up efficiently and legally.
